About Him
I was born and educated (DHS and Natal University) in Durban. I have a degree in Geology and post grad studies in Computer Science. Worked in the mining industry in South Africa and here in Australia. I am retired at the moment.
I have lived permanently in Perth, Australia since 1990.
I was happily married for forty-one years until my wife passed away nine years ago. My four children, 3 sons and a daughter (and eleven grandchildren) all live close by and I see them regularly.
I am fairly laid back, polite, quietly spoken and non confrontational. That doesn't mean that I am not firm in what I believe in or confident in my dealings with others.
In this situation it is not so important as how I see myself but rather how you see me. Time will tell.
I am not averse to a committed exclusive relationship but it will have to be because there is, in addition to the 'chemistry', a mutual respect and consideration and that both feel strongly that being without the other is not a nice place to be. I don't want a relationship just because it is just convenient.
I suppose I do have some idea of my ideal partner but it is a fairly broad and flexible wish list - everyone is an individual.
