My friends would describe me as...

- It is important to me that I am always well groomed, appropriately dressed and tidy looking when I meet people. Unless I am going for a jog: you won't see me leaving the house in a track-suit.

I enjoy anything and everything that has to do with nature and I do enjoy being active, and out and about in nature.
While I do look after myself very well: cooking is not one of my strengths and I really do enjoy a great meal that's cooked with love by my partner.
I don't smoke, and I disapprove of people smoking in my presence.
I am also not a fan of sitting down to watch sports, soaps or series. I just have too many more exciting things to do with my life.
Martial Arts is more than a hobby to me, it's my lifestyle. I also consider Martial Arts to be one of the reasons why I am so fit and healthy. My other main hobbies are gardening, DIY and Genealogy.
I immensely enjoy my amazing circle of friends here in West Cork, as well as my nature based activities here. I can not imagine moving somewhere else.
I had a fantastic and very eventful first half of my life, of which I shared 36 years with my late wife. Having had the most exciting and positive partnership and marriage, I am looking for that special someone, who would be looking forward to sharing that second part of my life with me.
About His Ideal Match
I am looking for someone who is interested in building and working on a long-term relationship. Honesty and trust are hugely important to me.
In regards to age of my new partner I am quite flexible. Having a partner that is 5 years older than me would not be a problem as well as having someone that is up to about 15 years younger than me.
Preferences in size, weight, religion, race/colour are of low inportance to me.
Much more important to me is that you are looking after yourself, your health and how you present yourself.
You can of course bring your children into our relationship. I have one son, that is not living at home any more.
As I do live a very active lifestyle, which I want to share with my new partner: please be comfortable in joining in on my excursions into nature, and maybe even in becoming a Martial Artist. Don't worry if you believe that you are not fit enough yet. Together we will get you there.
If you enjoy gardening, or even permaculture: we will have plenty to nerd out about.
Living in West Cork, close to my friends, is my dream come true. So you will have quite a hard job to get me moving somewhere else.
Smoking is an absolute no-go for me. If you are a smoker and you intend to have a serious relationship with me: you will have to give up smoking fast and for good.
