About Him
I'd like to think of myself as pretty unique, (not strange, but I think my friends disagree).
I have an inquiring mind and am interested in a wide variety of subjects.
I'm no super model, but I think I look OK. I work out a few times a week, swim, work in the garden and watch what I eat -and then eat it anyway ;-)
I like watching detective or spy TV series, but not on TV, rather on a home theater PC. From this you can probably guess I love technology too.
I’m a Christian, which means I love Jesus and know He loves me - broken bits and all. If that’s something that resonates with you, we’re already off to a good start.
I have a pretty dry sense of humour and I often say stupid stuff. I tend to be too direct, saying what I mean...which sometimes gets me into trouble.
I am hard working, dependable, loving, sometimes kind, sometimes funny, never moody and always loyal.
I'm happiest outdoors - whether it’s hiking, camping, road trips, caravanning, bush walks, or exploring new parkrun locations. My bucket list is long: the Big Lap, hiking in Croatia, the Appalachian Trail, and the Inca Trail are just a few of the adventures I dream about.
When I’m not outside, you’ll probably find me with a good book (or audiobook) in hand - philosophy, classics, sci-fi, fantasy, biographies, and history are all fair game. I also love wandering through museums, art galleries, arboretums, and historical villages.
My likes: gym, renovating and building, travelling, meaningful conversations, nature, all animals (except spiders), cheese, alternative music, good theatre and movies, books, swimming, integrity, reliability, laughing eyes, kindness, water, thunder storms, motorbike trips to far flung areas of our country, trekking up mountains, finding and drinking really good coffee.
My dislikes: laziness, cruelty, bullying, stupidity, mindless consumerism, moaning, traffic, overbearing people, selfishness, rudeness, violence, negativity, politics and TV advertisements.

What am I looking for in a woman?
Someone smart, kind, caring, fun, attractive, positive, ethical, adventurous, affectionate, enjoys the outdoors, independent, with a down-to-earth attitude. Active, both mentally and physically and in reasonable physical shape.
Someone independent, but who also enjoys doing things together, intelligent, humble, reliable, articulate, and passionate.
I don't mind a little baggage, we've all got some, and kids, if you've got them, aren't baggage in my book.
I'm hoping for a meaningful relationship to come out of this, but I also believe that compatibility can't be forced so I'm prepared to take time to get to know the one.
